Duck House Summary

Purpose built Duck House to suit clients requirements. Built with a base held level on the uneven ground using treated timber pegs of varying length. To avoid the need of a door to gain access to clean, the whole Duck House lifts off the base so that it can be simply swept or washed. To avoid predators, the house is located slightly over the edge of the island and an extension ramp constructed. The Duck House door also lifts up to give protection at night.
The base is made using 4x1 treated timber and 3/4" waterproof bonded ply sealed with varnish. The top is made from tongue, groove and v jointed timber on treated timber battens. Roof is firstly lined with tongue and groove and then over covered with treated feather edge boarding. The top is painted inside and out with primer, undercoat and two top coats of gloss paint.
