Hexagonal Dovecote for post mounting

This hexagonal dovecote is currently the largest in our range and is intended for mounting on a post.

Measuring 43" high and 24" wide, it has two floors each divided into three compartments. The arched openings have external shelves supported by shaped brackets. Suitable for mounting on a 3" x 3" post (not included) which fits through the lower floor into a socket on the underside of the first floor making for a very secure fixing.

It is constructed using tongue and groove v jointed external cladding, glued and nailed with mitred corners and fixed to treated timber battens. Floors and internal partitions are 12mm waterproof bonded ply. The roof is finished with treated feather edged timber and topped with a treated timber finial.

Finally it has been externally finished with knotting, primer, two undercoats and two coats of white gloss.
